Waves Spot Surf Camp

August 22, 2026

What to pack for a surf camp in Morocco

Boards, wetsuits and meals are covered. This is the short list of what to actually put in your bag — and what to leave at home.

We provide the boards, the wetsuits, the wax and the food. What you need to bring is smaller than most people expect.

**Essentials.** Swimwear (two sets, one is always wet), a towel, reef-safe sunscreen at factor 50, sunglasses, a reusable water bottle, and shoes you can walk to Paradise Valley in.

**Worth bringing.** A light layer for the evenings — Taghazout cools down fast after sunset, especially between November and February. A dry bag if you have one. Any medication you need, as the village pharmacy is small.

**Leave at home.** Your own board, unless you are particular about it — airline board fees usually cost more than our rental is worth. Formal clothes. Hairdryers.

One practical note: bring some cash in euros or dirhams. The village has an ATM but it is not always stocked, and the market, the bakery and the tips all run on cash.
